CAN YOU TELL US ABOUT YOUR EXPERIENCE COMPETING IN THE VALSIR MOUNTAIN RUNNING WORLD CUP 2023?

For me competing in the Valsir Mountain Running World Cup is fantastic! it’s a way of sharing my passion with other people, competing with strong  athletes from different part of the world.

This year I have started in France in the Nid d'Aigle and I have finished in the Canaria Island. I really like the calendar  because there are different races, from the vertical km to the marathon distance in different countries. It’s great to have the opportunity to have free hospitality for the first 10 athletes of the last year because it’s a way to motivate us.

MOUNTAIN RUNNING IS A PHYSICALLY DEMANDING SPORT. COULD YOU SHARE SOME INSIGHTS INTO YOUR TRAINING AND PREPARATION LEADING UP TO THE WORLD CUP? HOW DO YOU TRAIN IN WINTER? DO YOU COMBINE DISCIPLINES SKI, BIKE, RUNNING?

I used to practice triathlon before starting mountain running. So, I normally used to ride and swim.

I use the bike during all the year and sometimes I race. With the bike I train the strength and the resistance. For bike training I use the power and the cadence and I train doing some laps exactly as in the  run. When I swim I use fins for training the legs and pool shovels. I consider  swim also an important way to improve the core stability.

SPONSORSHIP PLAYS A SIGNIFICANT ROLE IN AN ATHLETE'S SUCCESS. COULD YOU TELL US ABOUT YOUR SPONSORS/TEAM?

I was part of dinamo team but unfortunately it closed after 3 months. be part of dinamo team for me was a great opportunity to have a support and to understand how it is important have an economic help for an athlete. Right now I don't have any sponsor and i am looking for someone who can help and support me next year.

I have a dream... I would like to do a year without working to try to do all my best to maximize my results.

CAN YOU SHARE ANY PRE-RACE RITUALS OR MENTAL TECHNIQUES YOU RELY ON TO KEEP YOUR PERFORMANCE CONSISTENT THROUGHOUT THE WORLD CUP?

Before racing I try to relax my body, feel myself empty to be full of energy, careful and concentrated during the race.
