Smolyan is getting ready for the 10th WMRA International Youth Cup.

"15 Countries are coming to Smolyan, in the beautiful Rodopa Mountain, in Bulgaria: boys and girls coming from Czech, England, France, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, FYR of Makedonia, Poland, Romania, Russia, Scotland, Slovakia, Turkey, Wales and hosting Bulgaria are ready to run for win the title of best youth mountain runner 2015.
61 boys and 50 girls are going to compete in the scenic landscape around the lakes of Smolyan.

The Municipality of Smolyan headed by the Mayor Nikolay Melemov had invested a lot of efforts and devotion in securing the best conditions for the athletes in close cooperation with Bulgarian Athletic Federation presided by Dobromir Karamarinov, Senior Vice President of European Athletics and President the LOC.
Ion Sandu, President of Romanian Athletic Federation, and Krsto Serafimovski, President of Athletics Federation of FYR Macedonia are in Smolyan for seeing the competition in way to evaluate the possibility for organising international mountain running events in their Country on the next years.
WMRA will attend at the event with five persons: Bruno Gozzelino, President, Pierre Weiss, Acting Secretary, Erhan Basoglu, Council Member and also WMRA Delegate to the event, Andrzej Puchacz, Council Member, and Galia Puhaleva, Council Member, but also member of Bulgarian Athletic Federation (BAF), LOC Guest.
