Started in 1979, this is the race of the falling leaves and signals the end of the Mountain Running Season in the Northern Hemisphere. It is also the final of the World Cup and gives the runners a final test to confirm their seasons form and allow us to find the World Cup winners in 2018.
A tough course that climbs steeply before dropping through forest trails that allows fast running before climbing again to the finish gives a good all over test for the runners. The finish is on the top of this small mountain inside a castle and gives visitors a taste for part of Slovenia's history as well as a great race amongst the Worlds top runners.
